The weirdness that was the end of this school year robbed my 6th grader and kindergartner of their "graduation" celebrations at school. I had some leftover cupcakes, so we had our own celebration at home!

Chocolate Peanut Butter
Cupcake for a friend! I found out it was her birthday the same day I'd had made another friend a cake. Luckily, I had made a few cupcakes with the leftover batter so it was perfect that after I found out I was able to bring her a small something as well!
Jumbo Birthday Cupcake
I've been so blessed with a great group of friends and neighbors since moving to Utah. When I have the time and emotional ability, I love to send a birthday treat to my friends.

CTR Cupcakes
A friend's son turned 8 recently. That is the age of accountability, the age at which a child can understand the difference between right and wrong. And for that reason, it is the earlist age at which a child can get baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My friend wanted cupcakes and bought these cute circle toppers to go on them. She wanted the convenience of cupcakes but still wanted her son to be able to blow out his candle at the reception afterward. So I made a cupcake 'cake' as well. Her son is one of the sweetest boys I know, and this was so fun to do for them.

More Minnie!
My client saw the previous Minnie Mouse entry and knew that's what she wanted for her daughter! The birthday girl was turning five and Mom used her nickname to put on the circles.
Vanilla cupcakes, vanilla frosting, mini oreos and fondant details.

Baby shower cupcakes!
Side Note: If you haven't heard yet, I stink with a camera. I don't have a super nice one because my skills consist of aiming in the general direction and clicking, and that's all she wrote. Plus, a couple years ago when our old camera was thrown off a table by our then one year old we got a new one and it takes forever to actually take the picture. This usually results in pictures with smiles that have faded, cute poses gone awry and off center photos. But my main problem is that I simply forget about it. I pack the diaper bag with every necessity under the sun and I haul everything I could possibly need to a cake delivery. Yet when I get where I'm going and think it would be the perfect time for a picture that darn camera is nowhere to be found! Sigh.
Anyway, to the point...I forgot my camera when I took cupcakes to two different baby showers, but luckily the same sweet girl was at both and snapped pictures for me.
The first was for a mom-to-be who was having a girl! They were lemon cupcakes with strawberry buttercream and chocolate buttercream. Some had white and pink gumpaste flower decorations and others had pink sprinkles.
The second was a double baby shower for moms that were both having boys! They were white cupcakes with vanilla buttercream. The circles said "Cute-As-A-Button" and had blue and brown fondant buttons.

Space cake
My client's son was having his 5th birthday party and he loves all things Space themed. I did these assorted cupcakes and I also did a large rocket cake, but sadly I forgot to take a picture of the rocket! I'm hoping to get a picture from the client that I'll post later. I hope the birthday boy loved it all.

Graduation Cupcakes
This idea is not really original to me, which is why I can say I think these are darling! These particular cupcakes were to celebrate my husband's masters degree from Brigham Young University, hence the blue and white color scheme.
